About

The mind is an amazing thing. With the tiniest bit of inspiration it can drift off to its own secret world within itself. It can conjure up the most magnificent dreamscape, perfect and beautiful. It can spiral into the most haunting nightmare, scarier than the darkest corners of the universe. It can float off to a peaceful inner sanctum. It can stumble into mysterious realms that it never knew existed. The places the mind goes are often far more interesting than any real location, but it can only create these surreal worlds from external building blocks. In fact, the only reason the mind’s hidden worlds are any bit interesting at all is that they are tied to reality. Reality feeds the mind. The mind embellishes. The embellishments transform reality.

For millennia, minds have sought conduits to let their inner worlds escape. And escape they have. Other minds are quick to consume these new worlds and make new worlds of their own. The result is a living, breathing, network of constantly flowing thoughts and ideas, expressed in myriad ways that can perhaps only be described with one word: art. Art is a window, and in the very best cases, a doorway to other minds. Art is ubiquitous. Film, television, novels, paintings, buildings, gardens, poems, advertisements, food, drawings, cars, sculptures, dance, games, theater…the list goes on. Art is the medium for communication of the mind, the heart, and the soul, and it is a source for endless wonder.

It is here that I will explore my mind’s surreal escapes, and perhaps more often the reality that leads it astray. It his here that you can come to explore with me, to feed and be fed, to embellish and transform. So have fun, and let your mind play.
